Copenhill is a statement of intent for Copenhagen’s ambition to become the world’s first carbon-neutral capital by 2025. The building—with the merging of interior industry and exterior recreative space—is what Ingels describes as hedonistic architecture. Copenhill should, in his eyes, be viewed as a landmark of Architect Bjarke Ingels, whose firm designed CopenHill, likes to describe the project in terms of erecting an alpine mountain to add interest to Denmark’s flat topography.

The engineering work was led by the MBG Joint Venture, which featured MOE Consulting Engineers, of Copenhagen, now part of the Artelia Group, and Geo, based in the Copenhagen suburb of Kongens Lyngby.
